I am not trying to bring religion into this what I am saying is scientifically a gene could replicate wrong, and have something "off" in their brain or their physical appearance. I am not trying to bring religion into but gene wise there can be mistakes.

gotcha. those who are transgender are considered to have GID, gender identity disorder.

oh, and in Texas, an intersex person can marry the same sex legally if they can prove their condition.

And those people I may not agree with, but as humans they deserve respect.

if a person has an intersex condition, i believe they should be allowed to marry based on their gender identity.

You love who you love it does not matter what race, gender, appearance. None of it matters as long as the two people truly love each other and care about each other.

Re: Gay marriage

Post by SouthDakota on Thu Jan 30, 2014 2:27 am

This is gonna be a long post, so bear with me, those who haven't already left.
Okay, so obviously, being gay, I'm going to support it. I don't see why people can't marry who they want to.
For the arguments against gay marriage from a religious standpoint:
Religious people can choose not to marry gay people in the eyes of the church, but when they push their beliefs into the civil arena cause civil rights to be denied to them, they are the ones in error. *Note: I saw that somewhere, I didn't write it. I just paraphrased it.
For the arguments against gay marriage from any standpoint, really:
Why do the against people care? In what way does it affect them? Hypothetical situation: It's kind of like, if I like apples, but not oranges, but most people like oranges, but not apples, why do the majority make the eating of apples illegal? Why does it matter to them?
For the people who say it is a choice, and say "just choose to be straight": If I like something, for example, cake, I can't just wake up one day and decide I don't like cake. I will still like cake. You can't change what or who you like easily, if at all.
And here's something I love. At my old school, we said this every day: "And among these (rights) are: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."And we can't marry who we want, yet the US gives the pursuit of happiness? Yeah, that makes sense. Forbidding me to marry someone will allow me to be happy. Definitely. That's how that works, I'm sure. I just don't understand it. To deny gay people rights is not only an illogical standpoint to take, it's also just not nice. Would the people who want to deny us rights want their rights taken away? No? Thought not. Then they shouldn't take away ours.
